All-State Foundation Donates $46,000 Through Hands In The Community Program To El Paso Children's Hospital

El Paso Texas (October, 08, 2014).- El Paso Children's Hospital received $46,000 from the Allstate Foundation in honor of 46 local Allstate agents who volunteered their time to support therapeutic activities for the young inpatients.

During their community work at El Paso Children’s hospital, the Allstate agents read stories to pediatric patients in the hospital's Family Resource Center, assisted children with arts and crafts projects, helped decorate the general pediatric floor and played games with the pediatric patients. These Child Life Program activities provide young patients with an escape from the stress associated with medical treatments.

"We are deeply grateful to all the 46 El Paso Allstate Agents who dedicated their time and to the Allstate Foundation for their support," said Dennece Knight, Executive Director of El Paso Children's Hospital Foundation and UMC Foundation.  "This gift will help us continue to support developmental and therapeutic activities that are an important part of the comprehensive healing environment at El Paso Children's Hospital."
