El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation is proud to announce that it has been selected as a 2025 grant recipient of Hyundai Hope on Wheels, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and raising awareness in the fight to end childhood cancer.
This prestigious grant will directly support cutting-edge research efforts at El Paso Children’s Hospital, bringing vital resources to advance the understanding, treatment, and potential cures for pediatric cancers. With these funds, our physicians and researchers can continue their mission of providing innovative care and hope to children and families in the Borderplex region.
Founded in 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated more than $277 million to pediatric cancer research across the United States. Supported by Hyundai Motor America, more than 850 dealerships, and their customers, a portion of every new Hyundai sold goes toward this lifesaving cause.
As part of the celebration, El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation will host Hyundai Hope on Wheels’ signature Handprint Ceremony, where children bravely fighting cancer place their painted handprints on a Hyundai vehicle. These colorful handprints serve as a powerful symbol of courage, hope, and the collective fight to find a cure.
Being named among the national grant recipients highlights the incredible work being done right here in El Paso. This award ensures that local children battling cancer will benefit from the latest research and discoveries, offering them not only advanced treatments but also renewed hope for the future.
